And we are BACK!!
Submitted By dmh on Wednesday, February 17, 2021
Douro-Dummer Council has approved our return to play and the extension of our season. Much thanks to our council for their continued support of minor hockey in our community.Coaches will be in touch in regards to this weekend's schedule and the schedule moving forward will be available as soon as possible. We are working our final details out this week.

There are a few things to note, please read carefully. It is imperative that all parents understand and adhere to these protocols as failure to due so could result in the termination of our contract with the municipality. Also it needs to be mentioned that when you don't comply and one of our parent volunteers needs to remind you, you are making things awkward and difficult for all. The only focus this season at this point should be providing a fun experience for our children who are suffering from this pandemic. They need activity, socialization and to be safe in all of that. Don't be that parent.

We will be returning to the ice within a modified stage 1, hoping to move quickly to stage 2, which will provide more freedoms and accommodations. Most is just a refresher from procedures followed in December.

All players and spectators MUST complete the online screening prior to entering the arena. Please ensure that all players are using their real names. These screenings will be used for contact tracing should there be a positive Covid case. Failure to do so may limit your player's participation. We also can be asked to verify our gathered information at any time if asked.

Managers will ensure this is done. If you need your screening link again, please see your manager. There will be upcoming changes to this procedure, please stay tuned.

Doors will be opened 15 mins prior. Once the doors close, no entry will be permitted.

For the time being, only 1 spectator will be provided for U-11 players and below. No spectators for the older teams.
Dressing rooms and the alternative dressing space in the harvest room will be used. When in dressing rooms, spread out, only 8 people max in each room.

Players must come to the arena fully dressed, with the exception of goalies and U-18 players. They can get dressed in the dressing rooms provided they can do it in 15min. Everyone else must be completely dressed with the exception of skates and helmets. Masks are on until helmets go on.

No hockey bags permitted, with the exception of goalies and U-18s.

No personal food, drinks or belongings. ie. no coffee, blankets, cushions. Player water bottles only.

All spectators must stand in the designated viewing area. Not around the boards, in the stands only.

Entry must happen as a team and exit must happen as a team. Spectators who leave during the ice time will not be permitted back in.

Thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation as we move through this next phase.

Should you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Wishing our Dukes, Volunteers and Families as safe return to play and we look forward to seeing you at the rink!
