In accordance with OMHA and Peterborough City/County Health Unit, DMH must comply with the Vaccine mandate. Effective September 22nd, all eligible Volunteers and spectators over the age of 12 must provide proof of vaccine to enter the township arenas. Eligible Players who will be 12 by Dec.31st and older have until Nov.1st to be fully vaccinated or they cannot be rostered.(this means the 1st dose must be administered this week to meet the deadline)

Beginning September 22nd, all spectators must bring proof of being fully vaccinated to your ice time. All that is required is that you show proof of your 2nd dose once. Receipts were emailed to most or if you have a green health card, you can look up your receipt online via the provincial portal. DMH will not be keeping copies, only acknowledging that proof was witnessed. Once it is recorded you won’t need to show proof again for the rest of the season.

Please arrive to your next ice time 30minutes prior to ensure proof of vaccines can be validated and you can enter the arena on time.

If your eligible player is fully vaccinated, we will be accepting proof immediately as well, to get a head start on that process.

Please be prepared at your next ice time, we don’t want to turn anyone away. That being said, we know how controversial the whole topic is, feelings are strong and tempers  are running hot. Douro Minor Hockey will not tolerate any abuse inflicted towards it’s volunteers, players or families.

Please don’t hesitate to ask should you have questions.
