Douro Minor Hockey has $10,000 worth of new hockey equipment
Douro Minor Hockey has $10,000 worth of new hockey equipment from the NHLPA as a Kraft Hockeyville finalist to give away!!

Wednesday August 30th 5pm-7pm, at the Ryan farm, 3011 Hwy #28, Douro Minor Hockey will be hosting an equipment give away to any registered Douro Minor Hockey family who might need something for the upcoming season! This give away will be fast and furious! We weren’t expecting this to arrive for another 6 weeks but now that we have it we want to get it out there before hockey starts. This giveaway will be on a first come, first serve basis, please just line up like civilized people 😉and we will check you in. There will be a limit of 2 pieces per family unless there is equipment left over then we will take your name and be in touch. Please take a look at the list provided before hand to see what we received. Most is in youth and junior sizes, not much in Sr. sizes.

To keep things running smoothly, try to have an idea of what sizes you might looking for before hand. As you can imagine there were guidelines and restrictions to accepting this prize, one being that DMH is not permitted to make any money on this prize, hence the giveaway. (We will happily accept any random donations to DMH on this date and on any date for that matter!)

We struggled to find the easiest way to get this equipment into the hands of our members that need it. We thought about making random draws to give away complete kits but worried about sizing. Some kids have big heads and small feet and the last “winner” would be handed the left overs of Sr.sticks and youth shin pads.

😉We don’t want to see it being sold on market place because it couldn’t be used. We are still in process of updating our email lists from the new registration portal and hope to share this announcement soon as possible as we know some don’t follow us on Facebook so please help us spread the word in the meantime! See you on Wednesday!
